AI and Tech

Why Deepseek Had to be Open Source
Short summary - nobody is going to trust a proprietary app and model that is coming from China, so they had to open source thier model to get attention. Again, Attention Is All You Need. How ironic.
Analyzed 146 000 JIRA Tickets for CoPilot users
Quite interesting analysis of how CoPilot impacts the quality and productivity of engineers. 145 companies, in total almost 18,000 engineers. Results show higher throughput and better quality. What striked me: biggest improvements are seen for senior and principal level engineers (not for junior and mid).

Lenny's team did a deep dive into the data to see what’s really working for the industry’s biggest incubator. Some discoveries are quite surprising, worth a read! To read the full article you need a subscription, but summary says it all.

Management

Gather Decide Execute
"Gather-decide-execute" loop to manage information and stay organized. First time I heard about tool like Logseq. Author uses Logseq to gather information, make decisions based on it, and then execute those decisions. This system helps to be more effective and efficient.
I also like LNO framework by Shreyas Doshi. That is what I mostly use to be productive and navigate the neverending todos.
The CEOs essential checklist
As a CEO or founder you must be aware of the surroundings. Here is a nice checklist on how to stay on top of things. Some of the items don't apply to startups though as they are too enterprise-ish.
