1. Kelsey Hightower on what is next for AI.

For decades, Hightower told Boost, “If you were a developer, you could have gotten really far in your career with no empathy, no customer service, lack of communication, living in the basement. You hate people, but you love computers. You could have got paid well. That’s over.”

Now, instead of just focusing on code, he said, developers must focus on what the customer or user really needs, which means also thinking about UX, customer service, and accessibility.

2. Forbes parasite SEO company. That is curious - how Forbes are at the top of various irrelevant google searches. That might be interesting to our Marketing team.

3. Mediocre docs are sabotaging your growth. I really like the idea of measuring the documentation. Though I see how complicated that might be to come up with such metrics, I mean connecting the dots. Also a good story about switching to hover capability vs opening more tabs.

4. This video never gets old. Simon Sinek on toxic leaders promotion and how chasing business metrics might be bad for a long game.

5. Situational leadership. This leadership style resonates with me. I believe I was always applying it to some extent and seeing other leaders following it.

Some more fun:

  • Omnistrate organized CNCF webinar and invited me. It was a really good conversation about open source and database as a service. They have a rule to avoid product pitches, so no Everest or Ivee mentioned :slightly_smiling_face:
